I called Premium Diagnostic Equipment and spoke with Liam who was fantastic to deal with. After going through a number of options, I drove down from Brisbane to collect a FOXWELL scanner. Liam was happy for me to return it if it didn’t do the job for me.
I connected it to my car and was able to clear the codes, tell the car that it had a new DPF as advised by Liam and force it to do a regeneration to completely clean out the DPF. Problem solved… no more limp mode.
If I had taken it to the dealer no doubt they would have sold me a new DPF for many thousands of dollars. By going to Premium Diagnostic Equipment I saved this expense and also have a scanner that will allow me to perform many service tasks that otherwise I would have to pay a mechanic to do.
I can’t rate these guys highly enough for their customer service, product knowledge and value for money.
