The AUTOOL SDT206 is a professional-grade smoke machine designed to quickly and accurately detect leaks in automotive systems. By generating dense smoke from baby oil or mineral oil and pushing it into sealed systems, leaks become easy to spot as smoke escapes from faulty areas.

This unit is equipped with dual compressors for consistent output and features both air and smoke test modes, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications including intake systems, exhaust systems, crankcases, fuel tanks, turbo systems, EVAP systems, and other sealed pipe fittings. With adjustable pressure (0–23 PSI) and flow control, it ensures safe and effective testing without damaging sensitive systems like EVAP.

Safe Operation and Maintenance Tips

When you use this AUTOOL SDT206 Car Smoke Leak Detector for the first time, fill it with 20ml oil. Please be careful NOT to fill beyond this range.

The testing liquid: both liquid paraffin and baby oil are OK.

Fresh oil can be filled only when the smoke gets thin, and it can’t be filled over 20ml each time.

Before filling fresh oil, please pour out the left oil in the detector & replace the detector oil regularly.

Do NOT run the detector for over 8 minutes continuously.

The detector has an intelligent protector, if it exceeds the working limit, such as over 75 ℃, it will automatically turn off the power. In this case, please allow it to cool down and operate later.

The round part of this detector reaches hot temps, please be careful to avoid burns.

If the test pipe needs to be disconnected in the middle, please secure the other side with a rubber stopple.
