AutoTest® Digital Sound Level Meter is used to measure and monitor noise levels to ensure that volume levels are within tolerances or an expected range in any industrial or domestic application.

This sound and vibration tool is commonly used to test automotive exhaust volume in road worthy checks carried out by an Approved Inspection Station (AIS).

A sound level meter can also be used to monitor sound levels within work places, such as factories and plants and ensure that employees are guided to wear hearing protection when excessive noise levels are present. It is also commonly used on construction sites when commercial machinery such as excavators and bulldozers are used.

Other uses include road noise studies for setting up sound breaks along freeways and also for ensuring concerts and public events maintain an acceptable volume within local regulations.

Sensitivity can be adjusted for different ambient conditions and environments.
